Student Exchange

·        The Exchange Program lasts about two weeks during the summer.

·        The Sister City Committee will select up to six students and one chaperone to participate in the exchange. 

·        Students will home-stay with another student and their family during the two week exchange.

·        The Elberton group departs for Mure-cho on July 13 and returns for Elberton on July 27. The Mure-cho group returns with the Elberton group on July 27 and departs for Mure-cho on August 10. (Dates are tentative at this time).

·        The Committee estimates the cost of the trip will be approximately $2,500.00 per participant, and each family will be asked to share about 25% or $700.00 of the total cost. 

·        Participants selected for the program must also obtain a valid U. S. passport prior to departure.
