Uniform division consists
of four shift commanders, four assistant shift commanders,
and eight
officers.
Patrol officers work 12 hour shifts and are divided into four squads.
Uniform patrol division services include general patrol, traffic
enforcement, crime prevention, vehicle accident investigations, incident
and accident reports, preliminary investigations of crimes and general
calls for service. Officers assigned to the uniform division also serve
with the Housing Project Patrol, Bicycle Patrol and the Piedmont Area
Traffic Enforcement Network.
