Citizen Boards

The City of Elberton has four volunteer boards that assist the City council and City Manager by guiding citizens through the ordinances in all areas of the community. The four volunteer boards are:

The Zoning Board of Adjustments This board has three citizen members with three-year terms. Zoning ordinances effect everyone's property, so the commission was created with an effort to include citizens of all areas in the community. The board meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the Municipal Building Complex. Zoning Board of Adjustments Application This board also acts as the Animal Control board, which assists the animal control officer when needed.
