The Leadership Elberton program provides personal development and community collaboration, which encourages people to be trustees of the community and work for the common good!

The program utilizes the J. W. Fanning Institute for Leadership curriculum as provided by the University of Georgia which supports the ten Pillars of Leadership. The program is a nationally recognized tool for leadership development.

The Leadership Elberton Program is sponsored annually by the City of Elberton, Elbert County Chamber of Commerce (www.elbertga.com) and the Elbert County Extension Agency.

The Adult Leadership Elberton program is offered every other year (even years) and accepts participants through an application process. The program begins in January and runs through mid-March with classes meeting on Thursday evenings from 4 – 8 p.m. at various locations within the community.

The Youth Leadership Elberton is a community youth program, which was established in 2001 and rotates every other year (odd years). The twelve (12) week program begins the 1^st week in January, with an all day Retreat. The remaining classes are held on Thursday evenings from 6 pm – 8:30 pm at City Hall. Graduation is held the last week of March which signifies the end of the program for the year.
