Leadership Elberton Program

Leadership Elberton kicked off the 2013 program at Athens Technical College on January 10, 2013. This year’s participants are L-R: Front Row: Katie Grant, Amanda Marunich, Jamie Webb, Anna Ruff, Andrew Dean, Marlee Thomas, Robert Cordell, Back row: Glenn Parham, Jason Anderson, Cory Anderson, Dusty Willis, Felicity Holland, Donna McCall, Brittani Akin and Samantha Stratton.

The Leadership Elberton program is sponsored annually by the City of Elberton, Elbert County Chamber of Commerce and the Elbert County Extension Agency.

The program utilizes the J. W. Fanning Institute for Leadership- A Community curriculum as provided by the University of Georgia which supports the ten Pillars of Leadership and is a nationally recognized tool for leadership development.

The program consists of twelve (12) consecutive sessions generally beginning at 6 p. m. and ending at 8:15 p. m. on Thursday evenings (January - March) at various locations in the community. Much work and effort has been expended to make each of these classes exciting, informative, and beneficial to the participant as well as our community.

In 2010, the adult and youth programs were combined to help bridge the gap between present and future leaders in the community.

Adult participants must be a resident or an employee of the community.

Youth
participants must be a resident of the community and a student in the 10th, 11th or 12th grade attending public, private or home school.

If selected, participants must be committed to attend all 12 sessions unless exigent circumstances occur or arise and pay a registration fee of $50.00
