Lanier Dunn was appointed as City Manager of Elberton effective April 15, 2006.  Lanier has worked at the City of Elberton since January, 2001.  Previously Lanier served as the city's accountant, and was later promoted to business Manager and controller.  Lanier is licensed by the State of Georgia as a Certified Public Accountant. 

   Lanier attended the University of Georgia in Athens where he majored in banking and finance at the Terry College of Business.  Lanier graduated Magna Cum Laude as a Bachelor of Business Administration in June 1998, earning the Honors Program Certificate of Academic Achievement. 

   Lanier attended Brenau University in Gainesville and Augusta and completed his Master of Business Administration degree in December 2005, with a concentration in management and accounting. 

   Prior to employment at the city of Elberton, Lanier worked in manufacturing accounting and finance at Kennametal Industrial Products Group in Clemson, SC and Automotive Electronic Control Systems, Inc.  (AUTECS) in Anderson, SC
